Care, down
to the detail.

Maintenance & service

Oil service, fluid care, scheduled maintenance and inspections planned around your Porsche.

Diagnostics & repair

Warning lights, new noises or a change in how it drives — starting with a conversation and a diagnostic plan.

Brakes & suspension

Braking concerns, ride quality, uneven tire wear and changes in steering or handling.

Cooling & air conditioning

Overheating, coolant leaks, temperature warnings and A/C that isn’t keeping up with Houston summers.

Pre-purchase inspection

Thinking of buying a Porsche? Know its condition and service needs before you commit.

What Porsche owners
ask about.

IMS bearing

M96/M97 engines: 996 and 997.1 911, 986 and 987.1 Boxster and Cayman

One of the most discussed Porsche topics. Ask about inspection and options — especially before buying one of these cars.

Coolant pipes

First-generation Cayenne V8 (955/957)

The original plastic coolant pipes under the intake can crack with age and heat.

Air-oil separator

Many water-cooled flat-six models

Smoke at start-up, high oil consumption or a rough idle can point to a failing AOS.

Bore scoring

M96/M97 engines and some Cayenne V8s

A ticking sound, rising oil consumption or a sooty tailpipe is worth a closer look.

Radiators & front cooling

911, Boxster and Cayman

Front-mounted radiators collect road debris. Cleaning and inspection help head off leaks and overheating.

PDK & transmission service

PDK and Tiptronic models

Fluid service intervals matter. Ask what’s due for your car’s age and mileage.

Considered.
At every step.

Start with the driver.

The way you use your car, what you’re noticing, and what you want from the visit shape the conversation.

Make the work clear.

Know what needs attention, why it matters, and which options fit your priorities before deciding.

Respect the details.

A focus on the character and condition that make your Porsche worth caring for.

Good to
know.

Do I have to use the dealer to keep my Porsche warranty?

Generally, no. Under the federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a manufacturer can’t void your warranty or deny coverage just because maintenance was done by an independent shop.

Follow the factory maintenance schedule and keep your records. Repairs covered by the warranty itself are still handled by the dealer.

Are you affiliated with a manufacturer?

Houston Auto Pros is an independent European automotive shop with no manufacturer affiliation.

What happens after I send a request?

A request isn’t a confirmed booking. The shop reviews it and contacts you to confirm a time and talk through what your car needs.
